Every sign of the zodiac rules its own set of characteristics -- colors, gemstones, parts of the body  even plants and flowers as well. Everyone can appreciate the beauty of nature, but since each sign represents a particular energy or style, certain signs will be drawn to different flora and fauna.

Flowers of different color carry different meanings when they are gifted.

1. In case the Flowers are delivered as a bouquet or in basket, please try to transfer them to a vase as soon as possible.

2. Fill a vase with luke warm water, slightly cooler room temperature, and add a small amount of sugar and preferably some lemon juice. Sugar acts as a food to flowers and lemon juice allows the food to travel up the stem faster. Alternatively, one can also use a small amount of sugar, aspirin in your vase for the same effect.

3. Strip off all of the leaves below water level.

4. Every 3-4 days, remove your flowers from the vase. Change the water. Then cut off about 1 inch of the flower stems under water at an angle with a sharp knife and then rearrange the same in the vase again. Cutting of stem ends helps maintain good water uptake in the flower stem.

5. Top up water as necessary.

6. If flowers look like they are prematurely wilting, cut the stems an inch under cold running water. They may have air bubbles in them.

7. Regularly remove damaged, or dying flowers and foliage. This helps your flowers last longer.

8. Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, away from fresh fruits basket and do not keep the flowers above a TV or in front of an Air Conditioner or Cooler.
